Favoriting a Reading List?

Is there a way to add the user-suggested Reading Lists as favo(u)rites for future perusal? Somebody has recently added a great one called "Eucharist: Sacred Meal, Sacrifice, Real Presence". I'd like to go back at some point and do some further reading of the items, but I don't want it to get pushed out of the way by the newer reading lists appearing.

You can create a "Favorites" file and save the reading list to it...I have my Favorites organized like a File Cabinet with several "drawers." One drawer is for Topical Study. In that Topical Study "drawer" is an alphabet, A to Z, and under each letter is a folder (or I add a new folder)...in this case Eucharist and then I would drag and drop the reading list into my Eucharist folder. The Favorites can be a tremendous tool for collecting Topical Guides, Passage Guides, etc.

Thank you. As I understand it, you save various different types of "thing" in different drawers in one Favourites file. I was wondering whether the Reading List "module" had a place to save them without doing that, but it sounds like it doesn't. Really helpful response

I have a folder set up for my Bible Reading/Study as well. Here is a screenshot of how I've arranged by "File Cabinet Drawer." If I were to expand each Bible Book, there would be a separate folder for each chapter. And the first folder in each book is the outline of the book. Housekeeping is easy as well in this setup. A "right click" gives the option to sort the contents of the folder...I chose to sort alphabetically.

One another note, can someone explain to me how reading lists work and for what purpose they have been implemented into Logos? Are they always shared with the community or can I create a personal reading list that just stays in my account?

Reading lists are always shared. They are a way to share bibliographies on anything in the LCV, in the Logos Mobile-Ed, or any general Bible or theological topics. They provide undated reading lists which you can check off what you have read. I've built them for theological positions, official denominational documents, Logos training and documentation, and miscellaneous theological topics as they arise. Others of documented the mobile-ed reading lists, seminary reading lists, their favorite theological topics, Logos seeded it with lists for the books of the Bible ...

Every reading list which you have begun (i.e. have marked off at least one reading), will be added to a section in the reading list tool called 'Open Lists'. That makes these lists very easy to find again.

I would therefore suggest simply marking one of the items in your Eucharist reading list as 'read'.

Mark, thank you. This entirely solves the problem I was having without needing to go down the favourites route. (I must admit, I find that it is a "fake" workaround. I am having to mark a reading list as having been partly completed to "save" it. Maybe readling list creators should introduce fake first entries to their reading lists in order to have something that can be used as a marker.)
