The free engine update to 6.0 does not appear to work for me. Even when I type in Update Now. Am I missing a step?
Hi Bill, for Logos to update to the free Logos 6 core engine, you will need to manually download it. The program does not automatically upgrade itself to a completely new version (Ie. Logos 5 to Logos 6). Here is the link to the download page for Logos 6 core engine: https://www.logos.com/product/46767/logos-6-core-engine

Thanks Rick. I thought I read on the Logos site that the update was automatic. But I will update as you suggested.
You are correct – except for things like the 'free' upgrade that you might not want to opt into.
Have fun though it is good.
To add to what Mike said, updates are automatic, upgrades are not. Logos distinguishes these two terms. Updates are generally within major versions (e.g., 6.0 to 6.1). Upgrades are to higher version (Logos 5 to Logos 6).
When one purchases a base package, cross-grade or buys a version of Logos in some other way, all updates to what was purchased are included in the purchase. Upgrades are ways of getting new versions of the software that generally require buying an updated base package, cross-grade,or some other package to get new features. After a period of time, Logos makes the new version "engine" available (without any of the new features or data sets for that version) as a free update. I hope that makes sense.
