Mac Book Pro Slower

I just installed version and my computer is now reacting slower. Is this a function of the size of RAM?

I have:

Model Name: MacBook Pro

Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,1

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 8 GB

Has it finished indexing - that makes a big difference?

That often happens while the computer is indexing. See if the little blue Logos icon is in the menubar and hover over it to see how long it has left to index your library. Indexing makes searching much faster, but a large library can take hours up to a day to index. If you need to get work done you can pause indexing, but it will not let you do much in Logos till it runs the first index to completion.
