There is in my list of resources books that I am not wanting and won't use. how can I get rid of them and only have what I want in my library?

TO do this, you need to "hide" the books. See the wiki article linked to below. I would encourage you to be judicious, however, in hiding books. An advantage to having a large library is finding something in a resource you didnt know you had... even in one with which you disagree. [;)]

when I open my logos account there is no library icon or place I can find to hide anything! on my iphone there are at least 10 books I do not want...and I can't find any of them to hide

As per the wiki link above, this is performed on the desktop app, not the mobile app. These preferences should sync to mobile. There are, however, a number of "free to use" resources on mobile for which you very well may not own a license (I.e. Foreign language bibles). I am unsure what would happen if you acquired a license and tried to hide the resource...
