Nation of Israel Timeline?

Hi Friends,

I'd love to be able to use the Timeline to show the history of the people of Israel from the early patriarchs through the time of Christ. I don't want to show specific events for specific figures, but the nation of Israel as a whole. Is there a way to do this? I'd love to use it in a class at my church to show people the sweeping narrative of the Old Testament from the view of the nation of Israel.

Have you tried the Biblical Events Navigator?

This gives you the ability to expand sections as required - ideal if you are projecting while teaching / talking through something

In the screenshot below I have expanded the section on Joshua's leadership as an example

Graham - I have, I love this but I'd love it horizontally not vertically, with dates. Which I'm guessing isn't possible?

Ben, try opening the "Type" dropdown at the top of the Timeline panel. Uncheck everything but "Group of people".

You might also try opening the "Subject" dropdown right next to it an unchecking everything except "Biblical Studies" or "Biblical Events". The Biblical Events set is limited to just events that are directly mentioned in the Bible. It is similar to the list in the Biblical Events Navigator.

Once you have set those filters, set the timeline to the desired date range. I hope this helps!
