My Content

It seems that "My Content" can only be searched by using "Entire Library" (other than the PG).

Is it possible for this to be made available for any specific collection search? Or failing that, is there a way to make a collection from "My Content"? I suppose I could make my own PG for this, but I prefer it to be available to the search box as are our collections.

Any one else looking for the same feature?

Steve, if you open a search box using the magnifying glass on the toolbar and then search for anything using "Entire Library" as selection, you will get a return with "My Content" at the top of the list. My Content contains hits from your note files, Sermon file and clippings. I have quite a lot of info there and would like to have it available for more restrictive type searches, like an individual collection. I believe it used to be available to all searches, but is now confined to "Entire Library" search option only.

The way to do this right now is to make a custom passage guide with only 'My Content' included and name it 'My Content':

Now whenever you are in a Biblical text and right click, if you select the 'Reference' tab on the menu that opens, you'll find 'My Content' listed as a destination for the reference. Of course if you are not in a Bible, you can just open up the My Content passage guide from the Guides menu.

Thanks David, I wasn't aware that it had been limited like that. I now rarely use the "Whole" Library search because of the extraneous Bible hits.

I don't know at what point the new feature was rolled in, but in 4.5a beta 2 I saw today that I can actually select "My Content" specifically instead of "Entire Library" or other groupings. This is good news indeed.

It was included in the 4.5 beta and it is documented in the Release notes.

Added a “My Content” search range to Basic Search, which searches Documents, saved Guides and Personal Books.
