I am a customer of libronix's scholar's library (Gold) for about 2 years. I purchased the product more than two years ago and first installed it on my laptop and more than a year ago, I successfully re-installed it on my computer at home. During Christmas 09, I got a new laptop from my family and I therefore gave away my old laptop. I am aware of  the copyright of this software and I therefore uninstalled it from my old laptop. However, right now I could not re-install it on my new laptop, which uses the system of Windows 7. Therefore, I am writing to inquire help from you.

By the way, I read the article on http://www.logos.com/support/article/627 "How do I move my Libronix library to a new computer?" and yet it has not been very helpful to my situation. I still have the copy of the libronix licenses and the seiral code, however, even after I double click "setup" on the Libronix DVD, it doesnot do anything. I don't know whether there's anything I didn't do or whether it is the problem of the new windows' system.

Thank you very much for your time and help!

Blessings,
Helen

Libronix should run fine on Windows 7; I have it installed with no problems, although i don't use it much because I prefer Logos 4. Does the installation fail generate any error messages? If it does search the Logos technical help, there might be an article describing how to overcome this. I know older versions of Libronix had trouble with Vista (and by extension would have them with Win 7) I would try installing from a download ( http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls ). Then, I would use the DVD to get the book files.

Kevin is correct.  The version of Logos you have on your DVD may not work with your new operating system, however the latest version of Logos 3.0g will work well with Windows 7 and is available from the Logos web site as a free download.  Once the new version is installed it can get your books files from your DVD and you already have your licence which you can restore.

Let us know if this works.
