is thee a way to write a scripture reference in a note that will link it directly to the verse and open it
in a Bible version?

Sorry but you can't do this on the mobile apps.
You can do it on desktop Logos if you use that

There are two different questions there... On mobile, you can't currently do either. Within L6 (Mac or PC), you can type a common reference within the note (i.e. John 3:16) and it will auto hyperlink to your preferred bible. If you want to use a different translation than your preferred one, you will need to get the logosres like this: logosres:niv2011;ref=BibleNIV.Jn3.16
