Just switched from IOS to Android - really poor scrolling performance and highlight lags

Hello - I just switched from iPhone to a new Moto X (2nd gen, 2014 model) and my Verbum app for android has really poor performance.  The scrolling is very, very slow and laggy.  When I highlight with a swipe, it gives me a "processing circle" and takes 5-8 seconds to actually show the highlight.  Sometimes I even get the "processing circle" when scrolling for a brief second.  These issues never appeared on IOS.  Is this normal for the Android app?

I am running KitKat 4.4, brand new device, nothing else running in the background, and my resource is downloaded to the device.

Help!

I am having similar issues, having recently switched from iPhone to Galaxy Note 4, running the new KitKat. Notes/Highlights especially appeared so much faster in iOS. I often have to wait up to a minute for my highlights and notes to appear. (Oh, and I'm using Logos Bible app, not Verbum.)

If memory serves, this used to be a bit of a problem on iOS but it got faster over the years. Is the development for Android just lagging behind??

    Please help!!

Actually, phone had KitKat when I bought it--have since upgraded to Lollipop; unfortunately, still having the same issues.

Hi, I'm having the same issues. I have a OnePlus One running Lollipop 5.01. I'm coming from an iPhone 4S. The app loads extremely fast which is great but then the page turning has some lag, this gets worse if I use resources like the faithlife study bible.
