Reading plans by chapter rather than by page. Did something change?

Just a couple of weeks ago I created several reading plans by chapter. Now I appear to be unable to do that - it has gone back to reading plan by page. I was pretty excited when I the feature was changed to chapter. Who reads a book by page number? I know there was some debate from some about wanting page number and that is fine as long as we can do chapter as well.

Did I miss something? Or is old age catching up to me and I have forgotten what I did? Is there a new way to do it? If I am ignorant someone just set me straight. I did a quick search but could not find any of these discussions that I know exist somewhere.

I am trying to set up a reading plan for A Case for Historical Premillenialism. I am on the current Beta.

There was a bug in the implementation of the chapter-based Reading Plans, basically someone forgot to check that a heading alone is no chapter - and thus in cases where the book contained a sub-heading directly under a heading, the heading line became a day's reading. That bug somehow didn't surface in the beta. Unfortunately (...) Logos felt compelled to roll back the new feature.

Im looking forward to the re-introduction of the feature.

Now, NB. Throwing another log on the fire ('ridiculed Logos ...') by ridiculing, only makes the fire grow hotter. No need.

But now that the flames are pouring out of the fireplace, I'll add, that handling chapter headers when you're programming for Bibles is pretty '101'. And, it's not easy to correct, since there's several types that operate differently (fonts, occurence, etc). I'm not suprised they took another look, to get it right.

I could have lived with an extra check mark. Can't live with page numbers only. What a disappointment! Makes reading plans worthless for non Bible stuff. Hope they readdress the issue soon.

My vote goes to reintroducing chapter breaks in reading plans. I guess I will cease using them till they do. Appreciate the work FL. Thanks all.
