Hi
All logos prices are in dollars. I am in the UK. Is there anywhere I can make my purchases in pounds sterling?
Thanks
Guy
EDIT: Welcome, G Platts! Just noticed this was your first post on the Logos forum. Feel at ease to ask your questions - many other users and even some Faithlife staff are here to support you. /EDIT
You can have prices displayed in pounds - go to your Account Settings, there's a section on Billing & Shipping which holds e.g. your credit card information, but below that there's a Display Currency field: select GBP and you're done.
Logos prices will then be shown in your currency, based on the daily conversion factor (all who must buy in EUR join me in weeping... [:'(] we lost a third of our currency against the dollar over the last year or so).
Hope this helps.
Mick
No. All purchases whatsoever are in USD.

I certainly do join you in weeping. I remember those times. If only I had all the money back then - wouldn't have needed to go with a payment plan and see how monthly payments would get bigger and bigger...
As one who has been to Europe on missions trips, I felt your pain only in reverse. Things are less painful now than they were a year ago, or even 5 years ago. The last time I was there, it was nearly a 2:1 ratio -shudder. that meant a 6 euro meal at mcdonalds was 12USD. A cheap pizza cost me 20$. London, Paris and milan ate my bank account :):).
I could kick my own bottom if that were possible.
I missed transferring a large amount from EUR to USD when the rate was good. I was waiting for it to hit the threshold of 1.43, which it came very close to, but never happened...
I would have made a fortune just by transferring all my money back and forth once... Argh....
I think I've found though that the Logos display in local currency is just a guideline.
When I chose to display in pound sterling, Logos still charged the prices to my cards in dollars, and the conversion rate was that of my credit card company on the day when the order was processed by them (probably roughly the same as the Logos displayed sterling price, but not exactly). And because the card was actually charged in dollars, the credit card company added their currency conversion fee on top (quite small but still money for old rope for them!).

Yes that's true - and that's what Logos displays alongside orders and what we discussed in this thread. Logos lists their prices in USD and allows us to see a display of the price in our preferred currency in a current and precise conversion - however, they will charge USD and thus what lands finally on our credit card bill may be slightly different than the indicative price shown by Logos.

The best you may be able to do is to find a credit card which doesn't charge an FX fee on foreign currency purchases. I think Halifax might do one.
In Canada, Sears MasterCard has one that doesn't charge a conversion fee (that's usually about 3%). There are probably others.
Thanks for all the replies. More research needed on UK credit cards methinks.
