I'd like to see Beale beat Moo. He won't.

Something I keep wondering...2000 years down the road, is this the best there is?

I can't really say 3,500 years down the road, since there is barely a shred of OT stuff in this group...Beale is the closest. Disappointing. Maddening.

Well now, I'll put my CPA shades on and take a look.

What if you had a stack of authors and either historic volume data, or even better, historic volume data from new users with large wallets.

Then run it through a pairing optimization routine, so that you'd maximize either sales or net dollar margin after royalties. I'd think (since I lost the passwords to the Logos servers), that you wouldn't match popular names against popular names. That'd be for sales volume. Now for net dollar margin, you would (since typically, there's more margin in slower names, even with a significant volume slide-off).

It's be amusing to do the same optimization, except 'theologically'. Maximize volume levels into heaven.

Well after trying to vote in round one and finding over half of the ones pre chosen with no option to change it I decided to skip this as a pointless thing. Which I sort did years ago after trying to get the Treasury of David on sale... only Logos regular price was not one sale but only individual volumes with the MM discount added up to higher than regular price.

I also am out. I have lamented on MM in the past for the same reasons others have. I tried this year (Vote Piper!) but with cheating happening, it really doesn't interest me. Until there are real changes, I will simply not participate.

True. OT is almost Off Topic today, but it's the gold mine for greatest understanding of the New Testament. I so often go to Genesis regardless of what I'm studying.
