Does anyone know if it will be possible to purchase individual titles from Lewis in the future instead of purchasing the entire collection? I would love to own a few titles of his on Logos, but I don't care to spend hundreds of dollars to have them.
Normally collections do get broken up, but it may be a (long) while. I noticed individual product pages for his work already, which is very unusual.
Welcome, by the way! [:)]
Thank you! I love C. S. Lewis, and I love Logos and it's amazing tools for study, so it would be a wonder asset to have some of Lewis' works in my collection.
any guess as to when Lewis books might be sold individually?
Who knows. Could be years.
I want to do a search within the C.S. Lewis collection, but when I look under search > basic > everything > series, I don't see anything with the name C.S. Lewis. Is this an oversight? Do I have to create my own collection? Seems to me that with 30 books, Logos would have automatically added it.
Do I have to create my own collection?
I think the answer may be "yes".
It's not a series from the publisher. Generally Logos/Faithlife does not put anything in the series metadata unless the books are published as a series by the publisher. They do not use that metadata field just to help people make a collection.
But you can edit the series field yourself and put them all into a C.S. Lewis series. When you select multiple resources in your library, with the info panel displayed at the right, the series field becomes editable. Just click on "Set series for all" and type whatever you want for the series and then press Enter. Or you could tag them all and use the tag for making a collection.

Rosie already explained that this is not technically a series. You can create your own collection, but it's more convenient to simply restrict the search to a number of books.
I don't own the Lewis collection, but used another author with a common surname so you get the idea:
Just click on the "everything" and put in rule like for a collection - I used author:"Smith, Judah"
Then you just need to click the "### resources with xxxxxxxxxxx" where xxxxxxxxxx is your rule, and the search will run against an instant / temporary collection - here of Judah Smith' works.
Hope this helps,
Mick
Aha! Thanks for the rationale.

I saw "series" and below it the blue "set series," so I created "C.S. Lewis Collection," but I don't see any "set series for all" What am I missing?
Thanks Mick. When trying your tip, I'm not getting anything with "X resource with author:XX" Any advice?
Ted,
you put the rule into the search field/box. That doesn't work. You need to click on the blue and underlined "Everything" (I'm always trying to hit the blue triangle, but that's not necessary and is just for illustration to show a popup will appear) to see the popup as in my screenshot.
Edit: some screenshots:
click there
Popup comes up which lets you select stuff such as open resources or existing collections
input rule
if you click on "## resources with xxxxxxxx" (the open book symbol) .....
....this will become your instant collection:
Ahh! Thanks for your patient help!
Glad to see you get it working!
Some of these are available individually. Mere Christianity is only 12.99

"Set series for all" only shows up when you have multiple resources selected at once. You can multi-select resources by clicking on one and then Ctrl+clicking one by one on others. Or to select a whole range of resources, click on the first one in the range and then Shift+click on the last one. Then you'll see this option show up:
