where can I find more info on Logos ...

I am considering purchasing Logos (Logos 6 Bronze I think) but other than the "front page info" on Logos.com I can't really find any information on what Logos is like after purchase. For example I understand that books and resources are available to purchase ... what kind of books and resources? I realize that Logos is supposed to be a great bible study program ... does it contain pretty much all I'd need for study? Does everything I purchase get downloaded on to my computer or would I need the internet every time I'm using it? Is there training videos available to show me how to use it or am I on my own after purchase? Is there a better forum or web link to these questions? Thanks so much for any help...

They have a 800 number (800-875-6467) - give them a call for helpful information. Also, they have a 30 day return policy, allowing you use it during that time and still return it.

Check out Logos' YouTube channel and sample some of the features. That will give you a good idea of its potential.

Check the Logos store for literally thousands of titles. Frequently, Logos has good sales, like March Madness right now. Often, the best deals are when books are in pre-production, where people pledge to buy a book after it's been created.

Depends on how deep you want to go. Some of us on the Forums have spent $$$ over the years adding books into our library.

Yes

To purchase and download your purchases, yes. Some features in Logos 6 do require the Internet. But for many of the essential functions you do not.

Logos' YouTube page has some training helps. Morris Proctor has several training videos and manuals. It does take some time and effort to discover all the features of Logos.

You can find these on the Logos website. Hover your mouse over the word "Store" and you will see Browse among other options. I think it is safe to say that Logos has most (if not all) of what you'd ever want in resources for Bible study.

Logos has the tools to do all most people would ever need for Bible study. That is not just sales speak, it is the truth. Scholars can use Logos for research, teaching, and writing. Pastors and other clergy can use Logos to prepare sermons and Bible studies. Teachers and small group leaders can get all the background information they need, and so on.

There are a few online only tools in Logos 6. The Atlas, Community Tags, Visual Copy, Ask the Author, Groups, Wikipedia, Books.logos.com search, Online Manuscripts, Logos Media Library, Online media, and Home Page Blogs require that you are online. Most of these (other than Atlas) will probably not be tools you use all the time. Other than these, everything works offline.

There are. You will get some with your Logos package. Then look here. Many of the Logos 6 features are the same as Logos 5. You can find some more videos for Logos 5 and 6 here. That page has links to other Logos wiki articles giving detailed help on almost every aspect of Logos.

The Logos 6 Forum would be the place to ask follow-up questions on Logos 6. This General Forum is for other information about resources and things not specific to Logos 6.

Hello Joyce;
To add to what has already been mentioned, it may be worth it to get/download the free L6 engine before purchase. This will allow you to get a feel for how Logos functions and the way it works as far as email/userid, purchases, etc. After getting the free program on your computer, purchase and download a few of the free resources. The purchase process for the free resources is pretty much the same as it is for the purchased ones, except that you are not charged. Once you become familiar and comfortable with all of this, make the purchase for the base package and anything else that you would want. Along the way, you can always come back to the forums or contact Logos with further concerns.
Doing this will eliminate a lot of the questions you may have.
Hope this helps you out.

This is only partially true with Logos six features like the new atlas and visual copy do not download to your computer but do require an active internet connection to use. Also true MOST items you purchase can also download to your android/ iOS device (be it phone or tablet) for offline reading although the mobile software is designed to need the net for most functions. Indeed you can go to your phones APP store and download a full version of Logos mobile to see some of the things Logos can do.

Download the free engine (it's what I've used for 13 years), a Bible or two, and buy a book. At minimum, it's like Kindle on speed.
If you max it out with a fast computer, lots of books, and actually buy a package, you can do some pretty amazing things.
I started with the Anchor Bible Dictionary back in grad school in 2002, and have just added things slowly since then."The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected."- G.K. Chesterton

(Very) late to the discussion, but "Kindle on speed" is an understatement. Logos is my favorite e-reader, hands down; the other features carry their own value as well.
