In Logos 6 when I open "Documents > Word List > Add > Add lemmas from," I see no listing for "Building Your Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary." I want to use this resource to create Word Lists. Is there a way to do so?
You need a resource with morphology, typically a bible, to do this.
You can select text in your Grammar and use the Add ... selected text option, but beware it will copy all words!
Thanks, Dave. Was afraid that "Building Your Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary" not being in the drop down list of lemma resources would not bode well. Appreciate you input and your warning on this.
Linda, welcome to the Logos user forum!
Dave already gave you good advice - in addition to that, you may want to know that there are Faithlife groups that share existing Word Lists. One of these would be https://faithlife.com/word-lists-for-flashcards/activity another one https://faithlife.com/introductory-grammar-vocabulary-lists/activity . Wen you become a member, you'll be able to synchronize the lists from the documents tab of the groups. I know there are some popular Hebrew grammars covered in the lists of this group, but I'm not sure whether your preferred resource is kept there (or in another group). If so, that's a great way to obtain such a list. If not, and you find a way to generate the list, I'd encourage you to share it there!
Since generating large Word Lists can be cumbersome, if they are not based on biblical texts, I once build a tool in Excel to generate files that Logos can import for Word Lists - it works very well for e.g. Greek and Latin, however, I am not in the position to test this for right-to-left languages such as Hebrew, and using this would be at your own risk.
Hope this helps,
Mick
