[resolved] move to a new passage

I still consider myself a 'new user' and struggle to find my way around Logos or to get it to do what I want--unfortunately, I find it very unintuitive (which becomes frustrating)...

Here's my current issue. I participated in the free 'webinar' last week. I thought it would be best to 'follow along', so I did everything step by step on my computer. Now I'm trying to return to my work of translation. I have my translation software (Paratext) open, and it's supposed to initiate and respond to scrolling requests with Logos. But I can't get Logos to 'forget' the passages I visited during the webinar... I have open an Exegetical Guide pane, a Bibles pane, a commentaries pane, and the Information pane. If I go to the 'reference' field in the Bibles or commentary pane and clear it (highlight and backspace) the old reference just reappears. I was able to enter a new reference in the Exegetical Guide reference field, but the Bibles and commentaries didn't follow along... How can I get Logos to 'forget' where it was and go somewhere new--and have everything follow along?!

Assuming all your resources are linked - https://wiki.logos.com/Linking_Resources - entering a new reference in any of them should cause all resources to move to that reference.

Do you have them all linked?

Yes, they're linked. I finally gave up on Logos and just started working in Paratext. About five minutes later Logos 'caught up'. Logos has been very slow starting up lately (after a major update, I think). Maybe it was just sorting out its brain...

Changing reference in one linked tab should propagate to the others: e.g. scroll Bible to next verse or type in new reference.

Abbreviations are useful for typing new reference => https://www.logos.com/support/windows/L4/abbreviations

Caveat: some tabs receive reference link followed by updating tab that includes sending reference link.

What section(s) are open in Exegetical Guide? Open section(s) affects Exegetical Guide refresh time, which affects sending of reference link when refresh is done.

Yeah, I think so. I thought Logos would respond more quickly to direct input, but it seems to take a while to catch up, or clear its brain, or whatever it's doing. I guess I was troubled by the fact that I would enter a new reference and it would just slap the old one back in. It may have to do with communicating with ParaTExt (the Bible translation software I use)... So, still not as seamless as I would like, but working.

Paul, did you ever get this working?
