Is the Biblia app now orphanware?

I guess I use it the most.

But it's several itune updates out of date, and trying to find much hint of the Logos app is often dated years back on the big G.

    ???

You posted this on the iOS app forum. The iOS apps are continually being upgraded.

Biblia has its own forum here. Perhaps that's where you meant to post this question?

I don't use Biblia so can't be of help in understanding what is going on with it.

Mark ... Biblia is an ios app from Logos.  If you had checked on itunes, you'd note it's not being updated for a while. That matches my copy of the app.

I believe what differentiates Biblia! from Bible! is that the former app was developed as a native Spanish language offering, reflected in the free resources available from within the app as opposed to merely changing the language in the UI.

Denise, I have noted your preference for Biblia! stated in other posts. For what other reasons have you decided this way?

Thanks for correcting my  ignorance. I incorrectly concluded you were referring to Biblia.com.

JAL ... being a 2-language family, and attending a 3rd language church, I'm a big beliver in everyone enjoying their own language.  Some of our hispanic sisters are reluctant to do too much in spanish at church.  Biblia is a good way to encourage them.  Plus learn spanish too!

I hope eventually there will be similar for Chinese and Korean (Japanes is too much to hope for!).

Denise, thanks for the response. I understand a multilingual use case - I bought RVA for LLS 2 and more recently have purchased Verbum Bilingüe and have both German and French reverse interlinear bibles on prepub. I haven't installed Biblia! though and wonder if there is an advantage apart from the resources included. Simply does Biblia! function differently than Bible!?

(Japanes is too much to hope for!).

My nephew is a graduate of UCSC where he studied linguistics and Japanese. He is presently working in Japan for a para-church organization. I hope one day to be able to gift him a Faithlife library with Japanese language resources.

Biblia is one update out of date, with 4.5.1 still waiting for review in the Apple Store queue.

Thanks, Kevin. I thought Id seen Biblia be passed over more than that. But maybe 1 update in over 3 months is your record.

I had forgotten that 4.5.0 was rejected by the store because of a bug but by then we submitted 4.5.1, so you are correct - 2 updates off.

    Good for you, JAL!

Biblia is basically the Logos app shell from Bible! with a few spanish books, as noted above. It comes into its own with the guides, etc.

Happy to hear of your nephew.  And another customer for Japanese resources is good.

Biblia 4.5.1 should now be available in the Apple Store.

    Thank you, Kevin!

It updated 4.5 and then 4.5.1. That was interesting. Back on track.

EDIT: Now, Biblia's gone AWOL from my iApple Store updated list. This is another bug I've noticed in Apple's software. Biblia's good, though.

    Back on track.

Good news! I was worried you would have to open up an orphanage.

I sighed a sigh of big relief.  Using my Logos topic guide, passage guide, plus the Recastor tool, I wasn't having any luck finding scriptural support for software orphanages. I certainly wasn't looking forward to another protestant church split.
