Sales Calls

Is there anyway to stop getting sales calls to my home? I had one a couple of weeks ago. There should be somewhere on our profiles where we can say we don't want calls, shouldn't there? I did email Sales (no reply), and I guess I could call them, but it would be easier just to set a preference on this if there is one.

Most people want to stop the emails. That's Logos.com > Account Settings > Email lists

But those settings often don't work. And over-zealous marketing folks call and call.

That leads to the secret setting: Do not contact. I think you have to call them and ask for the secret no-contact.

Sometimes, no contact doesn't work, so then a nasty post has to be used.

I have the no-contact and it works great. They still send the order confirms/ships which is good.

Thankfully, I don't get unsolicited calls (probably because I don't live in the US [:)]) but I do get the emails. These are not bothersome because I have a Gmail filter for Logos stuff so I get around to them when I want to. I don't think I'd want to stop the emails - sometimes what's in there is worthy my while [;)]

It wouldn't have been so bad if he was a bit more pleasant--'ha ha ha, some people downloaded the free version of L6 but they don't realize that they don't actually get anything new--what idiots' was the tone of my caller, before trying to get me to shell out money on L6 gimmicks and add-ons that I have no interest in. Well yes, I downloaded the free version just as I would update IE--thinking it would be more stable with some of the kinks fixed. As it happens, L6 is even slower than L5 (as though that were possible) and I'm in the process of going back to L5.

Yes, Libby and L5 are the current Logos classics. The transmission in the L6 turned out to be the weak link.

George is over on the Slim Pickens thread reminiscing, but his distaste for interlinears would suggest your 'engine' decision is the correct one.

I don't think that there is a way other than to call them or send them a specific email. I went through a period of receiving quite a few calls but it has been a while since I have had one. Perhaps it is because there has never been a call where I have actually ended up purchasing anything.

I don't live in the US - and I occassionally get these calls on my UK cell phone. What disconcerts me the most is that I have an established relationship with one sales rep - who I deal with exclusively via email - and I get these calls from another sales rep I've never dealt with before.

Unless my existing sales rep has left Faithlife and no one has told me, I think it's bad form for another sales rep to be cold calling me for my business. [:S]

I've had a couple of calls/emails from Logos reps that weren't my main rep. With one exception, I was actually impressed by their diligence.

Logos probably needs to revise contact preferences. Our reps should be the one's calling us. I'd be far more likely to buy from my rep.

Kind of wonder if Logos trains reps with cold calling stints. Can't say that I would support that.

I was thinking about what you wrote and began why I hadn't ever received a call. When I went to look at my profile I noticed that I had left the box for my phone number blank. If you were to remove your phone number for your account I wonder if the calls might stop? It's possible they won't, but it might be worth a shot???

It appears that a "do not call" note was added to your account on 3/19. Have you received any calls since then? If so, I can follow up with the Sales Manager.
