When upgrading to 6.3 Beta 1 on Windows 8.1 I was advised I needed to shut Chrome - this has never happened before as far as I can remember
Is this expected?

On Windows 7 I got a message telling me setup could not complete while files or services are running. If you choose to continue a restart will be needed. Don't remember if the restart would be Windows of the software.
I clicked ok, and closed Chrome.
Finished installing now prompted to download 370 MB.
Heaven help us if Logos is in any way tied to Google Chrome. The Chrome developers appear to be a fickle lot, as they make constant updates and don't appear to care what functionality gets broken in the process.
They use chromium for the home screen now. I'm surprised that it affects your Chrome browser however, as I would have assumed they would have kept their libraries separate from the ones your installed browser uses.

Running Windows 8.1 and Firefox - had to close Firefox in order to continue.

Case in point: Just yesterday I tried to use Chrome to initiate a remote desktop at work and voila!, it no longer works. Had to fire up clunky old IE.
I noticed this too and it bothers me. I started a thread about it here, which got some responses:
