I celebrate that the Studies on the Life and Influence of John Wesley (16 vols.) is about to go into production on Community Pricing, and I urge anyone interested in the life and theology of John Wesley to take advantage of this bargain price of $30 for 16 volumes of studies on Wesley, while it is still available in Community Pricing. There are some wonderful classic volumes on Wesley in this collection.
Thanks Logos! Logos has been very helpful to those of us of the Wesleyan persuasion in recent years, publishing the New Interpreter's Bible Commentary and New Interpreter's Dictionary. We have notice and are appreciative! (I like to think the whole Christian community benefits, and not just Wesleyans.)
However, I also urge Faithlife / Logos to seriously consider and (negotiate with the publisher for rights) making available the only serious scholarly edition of Wesley's Works, which is "The Bicentennial Edition" now being published by Abingdon Press. The excellent scholarly notes are by the very best Wesleyan scholars in the world. Some 19 volumes are now published, and sit upon my bookshelves. Several more are being added each year. One cannot do serious studies of Wesley without it.
The only electronic format for the Bicentennial Edition of Wesley's Works is a disaster because of the clumsy format used. I have it, and it is not even useful for reading, much less searching and studying. A Logos edition would be such a blessing.
