[Resolved] Need attachments in replies

in discussions on the news feed we should be able to attach at least photos. Other items would be nice too...especially if we are going to use it to report bugs like in the iOS beta private group. But even in general just as you can attach photos in Facebook discussions it would be very helpful here

I don't have any use for the news feed. IMO, "less is more." The "discussions" tab, however, should have the ability to add attachments. Of course, there isnt a "discussions" tab in the mobile beta private group, so there's that. [:s]

Everybody uses news feeds differently...it's the most up-front portion and most people will use it the way that Facebook is used in which case the ability to attach a photo (or even better a video or document) would be very nice...not used all the time, but very nice to have. I felt it missing today when I wanted to attach visual copy quote to a conversation i was having.

As an aside, I agree with you, we need discussions on the iOS group

This is already supported in the news feed. It is possible the permissions for that group prevent photos from being uploaded.

I honestly don't understand this. A news feed is a random compilation of mostly useless stuff... but I have sidetracked your thread. Sorry! I'll create a new thread. [:s]

A newsfeed within a single group may not be as useless or random as you say. Just like on Facebook, a good newsfeed will give you an indication of what your friends are thinking, reading, and doing and provide a great place to interact. A text-only interaction is a lot less robust than one which can contain other media

Got it, I see that now. I can attach photos in some news feed items but not others. Sorry to waste forum space.
