I'm wondering if installing Logos on an iPad Mini 3 (16Gb memory) will hog a huge amount of the storage.

The iPad mini 3 will run the Logos app great. I only have a handful of resources downloaded to my iPad mini, and it's using about 500MB.

If you plan on storing a lot of videos and photos on your iPad, you'll be surprised how quickly your storage gets used up. iOS 8 takes up a lot of space in itself (say 5 GB?) This means that your net storage will be more like 11 GB.

If 16GB is the top of your budget, go for it - and enjoy it! If you can stretch your budget to get more memory, it will be money well spent!

Chas, just to confirm, Logos 5/6 won't install on an iPad. Logos has its own app - called "Bible!" - which doesn't have all the functionality of the desktop version.

How much the Logos app will use up in memory depends on how many resources you choose to download to the device. You can be selective in the app as to what resources to download and store locally on the iPad.

Thanks, Paul-C. 16Gb is all I can afford. But I also don't need to have that many local resources. I use my desktop for more comprehensive Logos use.

I'm familiar with "Bible" from my Android phone.

My phone installation is under 400MB. I have 11 resources downloaded. My iPad installation has about 100 resources downloaded and is at ~1GB. I dont have many note documents except for resource specific highlighting ones. NOTE: all compatible note documents automatically download.
