6.3 beta: Feedback on the new autoinstall

I love that in 6.3 my resources update themselves without me having to be prompted, or restart Logos.

I'm much less enamoured with the installer running without me being prompted. I know I can just answer "no", but it's a bit intrusive. For program updates, I preferred the old system, where the yellow bar would allow me to update if I wanted. For resource updates, I love the new system.

Mark, the current installer is an intermediate step. The current plan is to not have an installer at all. Instead, the new version of the application will be simply unpacked after downloading, and the next time you run the application it will automatically be running the new version. This is the reason for the recent removal of the application prerequisites. Minimal intrusiveness is the objective. I'm not certain yet when this additional piece will be finished.

I'm happy you are loving the new resource update system.

That sounds awesome. I'll look forward to breaking testing it.

<edit>With this new system, I'd still want the yellow bar, by the way. Logos is permanently open on my PC, and I no longer have any reason to restart it. So without an indication of a pending update, I could be missing out for weeks!</edit>
