Well, it's broke on Verbum. Crashes when I try to load. Going to try to get the old one back from Time Machine. NOT happy about this, as it worked fine before this downloaded.
Moral of the story... turn off the automatic download
EDIT: It's really broken. Says I can't use the previous version and have to download the core again. Here's hoping that just downloading the above dmg file will fix it. because this message came from the version that worked up to an hour ago...

And... adding insult to injury, I now have to download my whole library again (5.6gb). As I said, not happy with the whole affair.

There had been problems with the beta installing in Verbum ... this is discouraging but Faithlife should be on top of this soon.

Thanks for the heads up... I mad sure that the download got canceled on my end and will not allow the update to install till i hear more from FL on Verbum Mac.

I know this doesn't help the OP, but as far as I can tell, this is an isolated problem. Our error tracking and analytics systems are not currently reporting any other errors from Verbum 6.2 SR-1 on Mac.

If you've got a Time Machine backup, you should be able to restore them, or at least restore them to a folder from which you can use the SCAN command to get them back into Verbum. (you can type "Scan" and the location of the folder in the Command Box to do this). It should be a lot quicker than downloading everything all over again.

Actually that picture is what happened when I tried to open the version restored from Time Machine.

I manually downloaded the update and had no issues... I am very sorry to learn of your problem. in order to avoid the error you would have to restore not only the app. But also the files in HD/Users/"USERNAME"/Library/Application Support/Verbum because when a new version is installed files are placed there that tell the program not to allow an older version to access them to ensure there are no errors.

Ahh, Now I see what I should have done. Oh well. At this point, I am 96% done with the redownload. But if this should happen again, I will try this first.

I am experiencing some strangeness with this version though....
https://www.logos.com/product/38912/the-ecclesiastical-history which shipped yesterday I could not locate, thinking the file had yet to be installed i did update resources claims there is nothing available. Typing anything in the library yellow notification that says "Updating Library Catalog. List may be incomplete." yet it has said that for over 10 minutes.

After the update on my PC desktop I got this message: "Unable to connect to Logos.com." This doesn't happen on my Surface Pro 2. How do I fix this?

This may well be caused by your antivirus / personal firewall: it will deny internet connections for programs that it detects to have changed.

I know have the same problem. I dowloaded and installed the version required. Big Fail.
What the heck? This is so frustrating. I am always amazed at these kinds of basic process fails.

I am having the same problem. This is so frustrating. Basic process fail.
What do I need to do to use Logos again?
I think this might be related to my Logos Now trial ending.

Thanks - I do not know how to enable logs as Logos will not start at all. It just dies.
Basically I start the program it fails immediately.
No changes were made. I was on the SR level called out by the splash screen for some time now.
It just stopped working.

You do not need to open Logos to enable logging. You need to use the helper app (linked to in my signature line) to "enable" (turn on) logging. Once Logos crashes, logs should be produced. In any case, you will get better help by creating a new thread.

I have Logos 6 on Windows 10 Tech Preview build 100074. Since the update to 10074 Logos will not open. The splash screen comes up and disappears. I tried opening in Admin mode, didn't help.

OK, looks like I owe you an apology. This whole problem wasn't caused by Verbum/Logos at all. It was caused by an app in the MAS called "Uninstaller" which deleted the libraries when I installed the new version of Verbum.
Thankfully a similar problem happened with a less important updated program, so I was able to prevent it from happening with today's Verbum update.
Once again, I apologize for the trouble I accidentally caused.
