Logos library
i am a newbie and have a question.
Can someone tell me how to search a book or books by content of the book not by titles or authors? For example how do I find predestination without checking contents of each book?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Kathleen!
Are you using library.logos.com (the focus of this forum), are you using a desktop application like Logos 6, or are you using something else like biblia.com?

Hi Kathleen,
Welcome to the Logos forums!
I'm guessing that if you already have figured out how to search for books by titles or authors but not by content, you're using the "Find" box in the Library. You need instead to use a Search tab to search inside the books. Click on the magnifying glass icon to open a Search tab. The Search gives you some basic help when it first opens up. To search for predestination, you'd just type predestination into the Find box in the Search tab, leave it set to do a Basic search in All Resources (which is the default), and hit Enter. To learn more about how to do effective searching, how to restrict your searches to only a certain type of book, how to do Bible searches which are a special case of searching, and other such search tricks, see the page and video that Graham pointed you to. Other helpful free references include: Learn the Basics of Searching (a video from Faithlife, based on Logos 5 but still relevant in Logos 6) and https://wiki.logos.com/Search_HELP
There's also a course on Udemy for $37 called Master Logos Bible Software to Supercharge Your Bible Study which is highly recommended. It has lots of lessons on searching.
