[resolved] Visual copy slide selection
To start let me be clear that I really love the visual copy feature as a whole; huge help for me in putting my sermon slides together and very useful in my social media outreach use. However, I gotta say it is also one of the most frustrating elements of Logos that I've ever used, today is a great example. I open my software to this really nice graphic of Proverbs 31:30 and decide I want to share it on social media so I click on it. Yet, when the Visual Copy window opens up that is not the graphic I get and the one that was shown on my home screen is not an option anywhere! It is also very frustrating to find a graphic I want to use, say one with a red themed background but then when I click on it, the background option it gives me is green or blue! Please, please, please Logos, get it together with this option. We've paid too much money for inconsistency and frustration. I praise Logos all the time to my friends but stuff like this makes it look like the jv squad.
Is there any way possible to filter the graphic selections? Why does the background change so often when I choose one size over another?

For clarification: what you wanted is "verse of the day" art rather than visual copy... Although verse of the day artwork can be found through that tool. I think FL needs to do a better job of making that clear. Also, do you have either a proclaim or logos now subscription? Some backgrounds came with L6 base packages, but new themes will need to be acquired elsewhere.
As for other issues you raised... It may be a context issue, so step by step instructions and screen shots might help. For example: various biblical genres have themes as do translations. This also needs to be clearer.

First, thank you for your reply. I do understand the difference between VOD and Visual Copy. I have before clicked on the graphic for VOD and it comes up in VC but today it would not, however it is doing so now.
I do have the Logos now subscription but not proclaim, small church, small PP only budget. My issue with the different colors, etc. is that it will show one background with reddish coloring on the left column but when I click on it the only option I have for a 4:3 graphic is something different, I would have to use the 16:9 graphic to match the left column graphic. Here is a recent example of what I am speaking about:
Notice the left column has a reddish slide selected? Now notice the 4:3 slide on the right column. However, if I chose 16:9 it would give me the reddish slide choice. Our slides are set up for 4:3, that's what I need, why can I not have the option it shows selected? Again, minor issue in the span of human history and all but it is a bit annoying for something I am paying a lot of money to have.

We haven't seen that behavior before, and can't replicate it, so I'm going to call that a momentary glitch for now. Post again if it starts happening frequently or repeatably.
If you type "Proverbs 31" into the search box, the verse of the day graphic you were looking for should show up. (Since you have Logos Now: The Media Browser is also a great way to find Visual Copy templates.)
We have plans to add a list of most recently used templates to the top of the VC template list in an upcoming release.

Looks like it was a typo in the tagging that determines which graphic goes with which graphic set: One of the blue templates had the same identifier as items in the red set. (That's also why there were two "4:3" options in your screenshot: one for the proper red 4:3, and one for the improper blue one.) I went ahead and fixed the tagging on the server, so this shouldn't happen now. Very sorry about the inconvenience.

Main frustrating thing about VC (along with occasional hangups) is when I find a slide I want to use, it always restarts when pasting another quote or scripture, causing me to wade through templates to find the slide I just used. Any way to control that? Or maybe save a list of "favorite slide templates", then be able to go to that template whenever you want to paste a quote or scripture verse. Perhaps maybe add an option where defaults to last slide/template used? Any of these would save much time and frustration having to constantly go through slides or just giving up and using power points standard options.
