How come when I highlight a word or phrase in English like "a Sabbath days journey" and past it anywhere including MS Word, this is what I get "σαββατον"?

I've just tried it and I get "sabbath day's journey"
Please provide more details - ideally with screenshots

Well it's the latest version of Logos on Win 8.1.
I tried it with several other passages with the same results.

Windows has a built-in tool called "Snipping Tool". It is very easy to learn and use.

Select the words you want to copy and right click on them. A menu opens up. On the right side, you will see the English word at the top, but Greek below. Click on the English word on the right side, then on "copy" on the left.
We can also use the English text to copy the underlying Greek word. That is what you are doing.

Αre you sure you copy the selection and not the Greek lemma (e.g. from an RI enabled bible)?

I was looking for an image of a bottle of paste (as in glue, library paste, etc.) with Greek lettering on it, but this was the closest I could come. I appreciated the fact that I could recognize ΚΟΛΓΚΕ'Ι'Τ as a Greek transliteration of Colgate. I guess Crest would have been ΚΡΕΣΤ. Glad you can "smile even though [you] use Crest." Does that mean you don't really trust Crest to make your teeth nice and white? [:)]

You have the root selected on the right hand side.
Select "a sabbath's day journey" at the top and you will be fine

Rick Ratzlaff, thanks for posting the screenshot, that helps us see what's going on. Notice what Rick Carmickle said. That's your answer. You have to click the top right option there in the pop up window that comes up when you right click. After you select the english "A Sabbath's day's journey" then you can click "copy" on the left side of the pop up window. Basically the menu items on the left half of that popup correspond to what you have selected on the right half of the pop up window. If you don't understand that principle, then I could see how this would be confusing. So yeah, first select what you want on the right half, and then select what you want on the left half. Notice how in your screenshot, you have the Greek selected on the right half of the popup, that's why when you select "copy" on the left half, it's copying the Greek. Does that make sense? I hope this helps.

Well thanks ya'll for your patients and long suffering. I couldn't see the option "English" [:O] Fact I never use the right side options. This is what happens as soon as you start collecting your pension check.
I never deliberately/knowingly clicked on anything on the right side. The only Greek I know moved away from my home town when I was a little boy.

Those right side options are crucial, because they determine what is available for you to select on the left side and how those left-side options will operate. Somewhere I think Mark Barnes explains this right-click menu in one of his videos. It's worth learning more about, because it has a ton of features packed into it, but it does take time to learn.
