I  appreciate the Bible Outline Browser which supplements the Outline section of the Passage Guide. However, there is a serious problem caused by the incomplete coding. Unlike many sections that are incomplete, creating a collection of untagged resources does not work well as (a) one cannot limit the passage match to the outline only and (b) the format of the preview text does not make for the easy identification of the outlines. See example in the left most column and compare to the actual formatted text in the center column. However, this outline does not appear either in the outline section or in the interactive.

We need the ability to add the appropriate labels to have the best of the outlines appear in the outline features. This is especially true for resources that have been released after the development of the outline section but not coded for it.

Correct: If the outline hasn't been labeled in the book, the search engine won't find it. The search engine is what feeds the interactive browser and the outlines guide section, so if the search can't find it, nothing else will, either.

It would be great if you could just label the missing outlines and have them work. (You could add the label with highlighting & labeling, but it wouldn't be integrated into the same search index we use for finding markup that's "native" to the book.) We've been discussing some solutions for exactly this problem. Still on the drawing board, so probably not soon, but we're thinking about it.
