I read English only, but my Verbum home page displays some items in Spanish. How can I make this an English-only page?
Thanks for the help!

You should not be going to the Spanish site unless:
By the way, welcome to the forums Ralph.
Hello Ralph,
Welcome to the forums. [:)]
I noticed from the additional info you have that you may be using Verbum 5. Is that correct? Did you know that you can get the Verbum 6 Core Engine for free? Here is the link:

Also, you may want to remove your e-mail from your post. Sometimes there are these applications that scan through forums looking for addresses and then the spam starts coming in. You could also change it to fr (dot) ralphb (at) gmail (dot) com and everyone will know what you mean.
I believe Ralph is referring to the homepage of the Verbum desktop application, not the Verbum website homepage.

If that is the case I am sorry that I misunderstood. Since I use the Logos desktop perhaps I will defer to someone else to answer.
Bruce also appears in my Logos 6 homepage.
Ah ... I get it now ...
Ralph, There are several articles on the Verbum Blog that are promoting Verbum resources in the Spanish language. You will see those along with the articles in English that are being displayed on your Verbum homepage. Those articles are intended to be in Spanish for customers who want and use those products. Actually, there are two Verbum base packages with Spanish language resources.
The only way to turn those off is to uncheck the Verbum Blog is in the customize settings (gear) on the top right-hand side of the homepage. Doing so will turn off all the Verbum Blog content, including articles in English.
Does that help?
Thank you, Steve! v.6 now downloaded and installed.
I unchecked the Verbum Blog, though it shouldn't be necessary to drop all the content just to avoid the useless part.
Thanks again, and thanks to SteveF for clarifying the matter.
Verbum as a product is not yet so large as to justify separate blogs and forums by language. With the scrolling home page format of Logos 6, items that are not of personal interest tend to be less annoying.
Ralph,
Don't forget to edit your original post and remove or change your e-mail as I suggest above. You can do that by selecting More on the upper right corner of your post. Select Edit from the drop down.
Done!
Good advice - thanks.
Ralph, thanks for sharing your concerns. MJ was correct in pointing out that we can't quite justify a purely Spanish channel right now for blogs. We have been posting a few blogs in Spanish to get the word out to our existing audience, but will be dialing them way back in the future. I encourage you to keep the blog turned on, so you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, as it were. We use the blog to communicate sales and share training, so it can be a valuable resource on your home page.
Steve, The images you shared are from the "My Logos Messages" feed, which are generally well-targeted and relevant. Do you own any Spanish books? It's strange that you are seeing those. Finally, no one has posted about this specifically, but you may also see New Spanish Pre-Publication titles on your home page. These will hopefully have a unique feed soon, but again, I encourage you to not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Pre-Publication offers great prices on exciting new books, and this is a great way to hear about them. (You can also sign up for the Verbum Pre-Publication email list in your account settings.
Hope that clears a few things up!

Not that I am aware of -- and if I do they are hidden.
This same thing has happened at least once, but awhile back.
[EDIT] I have a Spanish Missionary friend who our Church supports. I keep one Spanish Bible ["americas"?] for her use.
Is that enough to trigger this?

Excellent point, Alex. I've been very interested in the development of the Spanish language resources and appreciate the updates on the Verbum blog. Very helpful.
Yikes! [:$]
Ralph, please accept my apologies for the appearance of suggesting that you should turn off the Verbum blog. [:S] I have it checked on my account as I want to keep up with the most current Verbum information.

It appears so. Maybe your friend would be interested in some of these other titles. [:O]
