Perseus resource tags

I was looking for Xenophon's Agesilaus recently and did not find it when I typed Agesilaus in the library. It is, however, one of the books included in the Minor Works perseus volume. I have added it, as well as the other works, to the resource tags in the info panel.

Two questions:

I see other tags there that were entered, I suppose, by other users. I am wondering if my tags will benefit others as well (if so, Minor Works should show up now when you search Agesilaus or Hiero in the library pane).
I am wondering how many other Perseus resources may likewise not include the titles of included books in the description or tags and suggest that as users we may supply those for the benefit of all (not necessarily as a one-time project but as we use them unless one has the time to tackle this as a project).

I have at present got "My Tags" and "Community Tags" enabled in the Library view. If I'm understanding it correctly these are the same as "mytag" and "tag" if I use them in search or collection rules. (I was searching by tag under creation, science, and a range of different options and adding my own "Creation" tag to many I found. Once done I could add a "mytag:creation" rule to a Creation collection I then made.)

Firstly, I'm surprised that some of the books have for example "Tagged by 5 users" for "classic" for Voyage of the Beagle. In fact its common to find very small numbers, so it seems not many people are using tags to manage their libraries. I was expecting to see "Tagged by 43,567 users" or something on many resources but not so!

One of the down sides of tagging something a bit loose is that it impacts others then that might want to use those tags for their own searches.

I think the simple answer to your question is that yes tagging then benefits others. But I don't know if my tagging is limited or controlled by the "Send Feedback = None" setting within the client software. I have "show community tags" turned on, but feedback off. Not sure if that is "fair" but its how I like it. I generally turn off all feedback in every piece of software I have if there is such a setting and I can find it. Not sure it helps, but sometimes its nice to imagine there is some tiny part of the universe I can control a little of. Its a lost cause of course!

There is yet to be definite answer to the questions I have raised above, namely whether tags I add in the product info pane will benefit others, and as, Jim asked, whether this depends on certain settings. It would be nice to have an answer indeed.

In the same vein as my first post which was about collected works that cannot be found in the library by the titles of works comprised therein, there are also Perseus titles that are indexed by their Latin titles although they are in English. Typically, the English title is found on the very first page. In the latest instance I encountered, I copied the title into the tags (it's not really a short title). It will work for me, but again, I wonder whether it will benefit others as well. And for that matter, whether indeed, users of Perseus titles who encounter this can make it a habit to do the same (provided that it benefits the rest of users as well).
