I recently received this book and started to read it, looks promising: https://www.logos.com/product/49592/galilee-in-the-late-second-temple-and-mishnaic-periods-volume-1-life-culture-and-society
The second volume is coming this year http://www.amazon.com/Galilee-Second-Temple-Mishnaic-Periods/dp/1451467427/
Would there be enough interest to have the volume two in Logos?
I would hope so, the first volume it did not seem to languish in pre-pub for too long.

And it looks like the tagging is well done
[Y] This is now available on Amazon. Can we get it on Logos?
This is an older thread; Logos did indeed produce the desired resource:
Galilee in the Late Second Temple and Mishnaic Periods, Volume 2: The Archaeological Record from Cities, Towns, and Villages
If you don't have it, it's excellent background to Jesus; very detailed discussion of each of the locations around Gailee, moving from the Hasmonian period, and ending approximately in the early Byzantine period. What is striking is that the area was largely gentile, with progressive intrusion of jews. It illustrates how the cultures would have mixed.
I was mainly interested in Magdala and specifically the discussion of the reasoning behind Enoch as being written there. But even better, there's considerable discussion of the fishing trade, and all the little details (that I'd not thought too much of).
This site is good for discussion of salting fish, the process, and its health-issues that would have occurred:

Thanks for the timely recommendation as the set is on sale this month...
