[closed] "checking for updates" stop

Not sure where to put this but thought the "beta" version would be a good area to test it- I would like to have a stop function within "checking for updates" to quit the function.

The reason being at times it runs for long periods and I have to shut L6 down to quit this feature.

Does this make sense?

It makes sense, but it should not be happening. How much time are you talking about? i know when there are updates either resources or software, when it does not quickly finish the update.

I've just tested it and it took about six seconds but I am aware of times when it has taken a lot longer (can't quantify it)

The next time it happens let it complete the task then post logs. Make sure diagnostic logging is turned on.
