[resolved] For one beta cycle can I go from stable to beta and back to stable?
Please clarify this statement:
To leave the beta program, enter "set update channel to default" in the command box. If you're currently running a stable version, this will ensure no future betas are installed. If you're currently running a beta version, you will automatically get all new beta versions until the current beta goes stable; your computer will then automatically switch to only installing stable versions.

Once you have downloaded a beta build, you can only go back to stable by a reinstall OR when the beta builds go to stable.
If you are using beta 1 and decide it isnt for you, reinstall. If you are using beta and decide you don't want to be a beta tester in the future, make sure to change your channel to default. This will give you updates on beta until the beta goes to stable, then give you updates on stable.

For additional clarification:
You can't download a beta engine, decide it's not for you, and then just download the stable engine. Many data files will have been changed... and in some cases, resource files might have changed as well. For these reasons, we strongly encourage users to read the warnings in the first thread in this forum.

I don't have a test computer I would like to try the new logos now features. How much risk is there doing this scenario above?

I don't know. How much do you NEED your computer? If you NEED it, the risk is great. You can lessen the risk by waiting until later beta builds (i.e. closer to release time).

You could set up a separate Windows account on the same computer, install Logos into that account using your standard Logos credentials and then use that for beta testing. (Have the update channel set to stable in one account and beta in the other)
This will result in duplicate copies of all resources in both accounts but would reduce risk. But please be aware that it doesn't totally remove the risk.
