Priority Restructuring Scheme and Calendar Alignment Idea
This is a two-part proposition. it is an idea that may be of interest to other users.
1] Set up a Master Library Priorities List at Faithlife HQ that is deliberately reordered seasonally (or each month?).
This renewable “Priority Structure” would follow some version of a yearly Calendar.
WHY? Because our SEARCH Results every month would vary according to the season we are in - and hopefully the hits would be more useful to us.
2] Logos Users could opt in - and run a *.bat file that would compare their own LIBRARY to the MLPL at FAITHLIFE HQ and all the resources in our Libraries would be aligned to the master list.
APPLICATIONS: On this point, I speak from my personal perspective and I realize that not all would be on board, but here goes. For all denominations I would suggest a List that would flow according to the Jewish Calendar. In other words, the regular Feasts, High HolyDays, etc (Parashot?) would be examined side by side with the Resources Logos offers and a List composed. I hope that most could see the benefits of this for us today. AND, Key Topics / Cultural Background / Special Interest Studies that are most pertinent for Christians particularly at these times of year could be superimposed onto this List. [i.e. Passover / Easter; any important dates/ events in Biblical History, etc.] For some, the list could reflect the Lectionary Reading Schedule, for others Dates / Events in History could influence placement of Resources in this list.
I think some of the possibilities are intriguing.
This might not be cost effective, and may be too much work for too little return, but thought it might be worth mentioning.
