URGENT: we need to rush to be ready for Lent 2016

The Orthodox monasteries have a tradition of reading John Climacus during Lent. We have sacrificed the pleasure of having John Climacus in Logos for many years now. Please remedy the problem my offering your pre-purchase on the languishing (but excellent) Classics of Western Spirituality: Pre-Reformation Christianity (55 vols.)
Note: this will also save me lots of shelf spaces as I subscribed to this series for nearly 20 years.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

It's a great price "per book", but the package overall contains a "useful", but not essential mixture and thus it appears somewhat expensive. It might be better if FL were to separate it into Classics of Western Spirituality Part 1 and Part 2, and halve the price for each.

They have already split the series into at least three smaller packages. The series was started in the 1970's to counteract the flood of youth to the East simply because they were unaware of similar traditions in the West. For many of us there are more "essential reading" books here than in other Logos collections. Unfortunately, we are not the majority. [:(]

Ooh, I didn't know the history. I'll take a closer look. My long term wish list still features Fathers of the Church and Anchor Yale Bible commentary, but maybe I need the Western Classics more

I'm already in on the full Classics of Western Spirituality Bundle (126 vols.), which is further along towards completion than the Pre-Reformation Christianity subset. But it still needs lots of help. It isn't to the halfway mark yet. I think this would be more valuable than adding any base package to your library at this point, so if you were considering the latter, consider the Classics of Western Spirituality instead.
