[resolved] Question re: collection "all parallel resources"

Is "all parallel resources" a system collection? If so, does it follow that the user needs to set up a parallel collection only when they want a subset of the parallel resources? And are they also the correct way to merge serial collections e.g. Berit Olam with Sacra Pagina or For Everyone Bible Study Guides with The Old Testament for Everyone.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

It's a temporary system collection (rule based)

Yes (but they still get the system "collection")

There are no parallels in a single series like For Everyone Bible Study Guides, but you can create a "parallel" collection from multiple series as there should then be multiple books covering Mark, Matthew, Revelation, Genesis, Malachi etc.

What is the best way of creating a "serial" collection on commentaries that use different names for the OT and NT components?

Is this what you mean?
I used a filter type:commentary subject:(n.t.-commentaries, o.t.-commentaries) to get single sets of OT & NT commentaries.
then I selected one OT and one NT commentary and can make a series as shown (aka serial "collection"). The IVP NT commentary is part of a Faithlife series but I don't have the companion OT volume. If I put it in a user series it no longer belongs to the Faithlife series.

Yes you understand what I mean. No I am not willing to hide the actual series.

If the Faithlife series name has been applied to a proper serial set of resources the impact has to be assessed! But if the series name only reflects a Faithlife set/collection of resources the impact is minimal e.g. you can tag the resources yourself.
