The current iPod app will work for the iPad, but it is not optimized for it. So yes, it will work, and my guess is that by the time that the iPad is launched, Logos will easily be able to do the optimization necessary to make it begin to take advantage of the larger screen.

Firstly, welcome to the forums.
I understand that you are asking how to download L4 onto your iPad.
You will be able to download the Logos app from the App Store. There should be a short cut to the App Store on your iPad. Simply search for Logos in the App Store and you will be presented with the option to download. On starting the app for the first time, you will be invited to log in or register. If you are an L4 user, you should use the same log in details you use for your L4 account. This will enable you to access resources associated with that account.
It is worth noting, however, that the L4 app is a slimmed down version of the desktop application. You will not have the same functionality. You are also likely to find that some of your resources will not be available on mobile devices due, we understand, to restrictions imposed by the publishers. Personally, around 80% of my resources are available via mobile.
Should you have any specific queries or difficulties with the app, you may be better starting a new thread in the iPad/iPhone section of the forum to ensure that your query is not overlooked in error.

Is there a list of resources available for use on the iPad? Also, do you, or anyone else, know if it must first be downloaded to a computer after purchase (before downloading to the iPad?)

Once resource licenses are associated with your Logos.com account, ones that are usable on mobile devices are available immediately for iPad and other mobile devices.
Logos.com product pages include an iPhone icon if resource is available for mobile use. Also can search Logos.com for phone/web access => http://www.logos.com/products/search?Platform=Internet that currently finds 7,590 results (plus all Vyrso resources) so ~ 12,000 resources now available.
By the way, many iPad discussions occur in forum => iPhone/iPad
