How do you find searching in the Android app?

I am asking because I basically don't use it given that it is prohibitively slow (as in, after waiting for a bit, I give up and do something else). I am using a Dell Venue 8, so this is a decent tablet. I am wondering whether it is like that for most users or if perhaps it depends on the tablet/phone.
