BUG: Bible Word Study
That's just a random example: I'm getting a lot of these messed up Greek results in Bible Word Studies - concerning Bible Word Studies in the OT, there aren't any results for Hebrew words at all, even though I own the BHS and have it downloaded on my Android phone.
Please notice as well that all the German words in Bible Word Studies are lowercased, whereas nouns should be capitalized in German, of course. (I actually did a Bible Word Study for "love" as a noun, not an imperative et al.)
I'm sorry I have to say this - but with issues like this, I think this app is not even getting close to something one could call a Bible Study (!) App.

What version of Android are you running, and what hardware device are you using? Not all Android versions are equal with language support, thus the missing greek characters. I've attached a screenshot below of what you should be seeing - just tap on a part of the semi-circle to show the verses that contain each word.
Not every German word will result in a hit in the BHS and whether or not it is downloaded to your device doesn't matter; all Bible Word Study results are delivered online.

We have a long way to go to support non-English languages. Support for English is quite good.

Thanks for your answer, Kevin! I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S II Plus running with Android 4.2.2. What I don't get, however, is this: As long as I'm in reading modus, NA27 and BHS both show up correctly on my phone - so how come Bible Word Study is having problems with showing the letter alpha and won't give any Hebrew results at all?

The Logos app includes it's own Greek and Hebrew fonts. When resources are displayed in Reader View the app uses those fonts. However, Bible Word Study results are displayed in a web view (basically a web browser window) that uses the Android system fonts, not the Logos app fonts. The webkit included with Android has improved over time in newer versions of Android and this problem doesn't exist in current Android versions.
Concerning Hebrew results, have you tried experimenting with English words instead of German ones?
