Difference between Factbook and other searches

Okay I am new to Logos (first week), so please forgive a newbie question.

What is the difference between using Factbook and another search box (like the Go box on the home screen, or the Passage Guide or Topic Guide or the Everything Search)?

I only have the Starter package. Maybe I would see more of a difference if I had more of a library?

Maybe the Factbook specializes in searching for certain things, and the other searches have their specialties as well. Thanks for any help.

The "Everything" search is a quick way of scanning all your resources for a word or a topic and providing an entry point to other searches - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92631.aspx
The "Factbook" search (which can be run from the results of an "Everything" search" - is a way to search the Logos "Factbook" for information about biblical information (people, places, things, etc). The Factbook is a form of encyclopedia which as well as useful information can provide a starting point for other searches - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92630.aspx and https://community.logos.com/forums/p/92813/643883.aspx#643883
The Topic Guide provides more detailed information on specific topics - https://www.logos.com/training/logos5/topic-guide (this page is based on Logos 5 but the same principles apply)

Depending on what the entry in the Go Box - a passage, something recognised as a topic etc - the relevant Guide or search will be executed

Additionally, Factbook pulls from only specific types of resources that have been certain kinds of tagging, and therefore it will not search every single book in your library. A generic search can be as comprehensive (or specific) as you want it to be, but Factbook is designed to be more focused and specialized. That is probably not the most precise way of putting it, but hopefully that will help you a little conceptually. There are lots of different ways of searching in Logos, so take some time to watch training videos and read up on the differences using the links in the previous post. In general, all methods of searching will yield more results as your library grows. The integration Logos offers is one of the best reasons to get books in this format as opposed to all others!
