BUG: Malfunctioning highlights ... MJ is about to throuw a temper tantrum re Highlighting palette Qu

I went to plan tomorrow's tip of the day ....[:(] [:'(] [:@] [:$] [:#]

I have reported this multiple times and my patience is wearing thin - everytime I try to demonstrate converting Bible study methods into Logos highlights, Logos looks like an unusable program.

  • BUG ONE: Start and begin should not behave in the same manner; one should allow me to enter the image only once - at the start/beginning of the selected text; I promise to never use the version which adds the image to the start of every line in the selection.
  • BUG TWO: The image should not overlay the text (start option). I should be able to read the highlighted text.

My palette worked fine before you made the change to "start of every line" which you corrected to two separate options which got screwed into working the same + overlaying the text.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I've checked into this, and here is what I've found:

    • "Before" should place the image before the highlight (it does) but should not be repeating the image on every line. That is a bug, and I'm creating a case.
    • "Start" should place the image at the start of the highlight, behind it, overlapping, repeating every line (which it does). Per Eli, this is for Precepts-style images.

Somewhere along the line, Before got the line-repeating behavior from Start. Once it's fixed, Before should behave as you're desiring: image not overlapping the text, and only at the start of the highlight. [:)]

Makes sense ... I'll let those who want overlapping have it [:D]
