Music Staff has gaps when importing from Powerpoint sheet music

Has anyone had issues with importing exisiting Sheet music subscriptions we have in Powerpoint format into Proclaim? Our church is testing out Proclaim, and we found we also have the Advanced Harmony subscription to Song Select. However it looks like the only thing Proclaim gets from SongSelect is the Lyrics (words only?)

So we really want to use Proclaim and I hear other churches have used their Powerpoint formatted SHeet music slides with Proclaim... however when I import them using the Save as Images function, the resulting slides have major gaps in the Music Staff. Like one of the lines will be missing or totally dim.

Is there a way to change the quality of Image that Proclaim converts the Powerpoint slides to?

I imported your file to Keynote and on into Proclaim and can see the problem on my screen.

I would hazard a guess and say that the lines on the stave are too light (pixel wise) to display adequately.

Although in Keynote itself the display is neigh on perfect.

What version of Powerpoint are you using? How are you adding the Powerpoint images to Proclaim?

There are two ways to do this:

1. Use the "Add Item" menu in Proclaim to import from Powerpoint directly into Proclaim, we (Proclaim) take over and using a third party library, open the ppt file and export each slide as an image to a temporary location, then add all these images as a Powerpoint Images service item in Proclaim. NOTE: we do have an open issue with this third party for matching fonts, it is selecting a different font for many presentations (including yours).

2. Use Powerpoint itself, Click the "Save as Pictures..." menu item under the File menu, you select a folder and Powerpoint exports each slide as an image. Then you must create an Image Slideshow service item in Proclaim and click the "Add Images..." and choose the images to add to Proclaim.

Proclaim does not try to change or adjust the size of any image added, but it might be scaled to fit the presentation output/view. I tried both methods above with your ppt using the latest Proclaim and Powerpoint Mac 2011 and the images saved from your PPT were originally 720x540 (4:3 aspect ratio) so I see a letter box when running in 16:9 Proclaim, switching Proclaim to 4:3 removes the letter box, but Proclaim runs 4:3 at 1024x768 so there is still some scaling to the OnAir/Preview displays going on here.

I found the best looking music sheets from your Powerpoint presentation were made by adjusting the size and aspect ratio in Powerpoint. Adjust the Aspect Ratio first via "Page Setup..." to match the aspect ratio you are using in Proclaim, then adjust the Powerpoint preferences for saving images to match the image size used in Proclaim (1024x768 for 4:3 and 1920x1080 for 16:9), finally use the Powerpoint "Save as Pictures..." to save to a folder, then add to an Image Slideshow in Proclaim (or you can add as individual Content slide backgrounds or foreground images...

I hope this helps to explain what is going on and helps with your evaluation of Proclaim. If you are still having issues with gaps or missing lines, please create and save a test presentation with this issue and reply with the name so I can investigate the images and Proclaim presentation.
