Visual Copy

First, I LOVE VISUAL COPY!!!  I use it 5 - 10 times per sermon to show quotes, scripture, etc...  

However, when I "Visual Copy" from Bible Text I would love for it to put the reference in the "Author" blank.  I want my people to see the reference, as well as hear it.  When I type in the reference LOGOS usually crashes on me and I have restart the program and lose my spot I was at.

Matt, welcome to the forums!

I am not an expert, but it seems to me that there are some specifically designed VC slides for scripture, and if you choose one of these, the reference is automatically inserted (see screenshot below). The other designs appear to be for monographs, so they are looking for an author tag.

Nonetheless, I agree with you that the auto-insertion of a scripture reference should be a given, and manual insertion should not be necessary. And most certainly, manual insertion should not crash the software. Faithlife is pretty famous for rolling stuff out before it really works and fixing it on the fly. Sometimes, they forget the 'fixing it' part.

I suspect one of the real experts will come along with some practical solutions for you. Keep checking in.
