Greek translation and explanation of a bible book

Hello, I am searching for a book that explains the greek text of a biblebook (N.T. of course).

For instance, Mark, in english, and beside it the Greek translation with A word by word explanation of the greek text.

First I want to try one biblebook and when it works for me the rest. Also I have the question if there is something the same for the O.T. ? (With Hebrew translation)

can somebody give me advise?

There are a number of Bibles that have interlinears built into them. Below is a sample from the ESV with the two icons at the top circled which reveal menu options for interlinears. It also works for the Old Testament. Is this what you are looking for?

Thank you for your quick response Bruce. It is not (exactly) what I mean, but it looks like it. I want the greek translation and with it the explanation of each greek word (and if possible the pronouncation of the gek words. Maybe what I want doesn't exist but That's why I ask everywhere,

It seems you rather want the Greek original, if we are speaking NT here. There are many editions of it in Logos, the SBLGNT being free: https://www.logos.com/product/8486/the-greek-new-testament-sbl-edition

Regarding pronunciation of lemmas, this is included in some packages. If you want the Greek text read to you as it is in the text, this exists here: https://www.logos.com/product/26968/greek-audio-new-testament

Also, don't forget that the exegetical guide can break down passages word by word, but I don't know I would try analyzing an entire book at one time by doing that. Then again, now I am somewhat curious...

If you are looking for translation explanation on a particular New Testament book I would consult a technical commentary that is based on the Greek Text of the New Testament. For example, the NIGTC series has good translation discussion. Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament is also pretty good. Another route would be something like the UBS Handbook series or the Exegetical Summaries series, these typically have good conversation surrounding translation.

Henk, dit is mogelijk.

Je kunt deze naast elkaar zetten. De grondtekst kun je opzoeken door bijv. op een woord in de grondtekst te klikken. Je kunt zelfs de Engelse tekst dan laten "oplichten" zodat je het verband ziet.

Beschik je over Logos? Als je bijv. de ESV hebt en een Griekse grondtekst (bijv. de Nestle Aland 27 of 28), dan kun je aan de slag.

Hieronder zie je de ESV samen met een Hebreeuwse Bijbel.

Je kunt in de Bijbels dan met je muis klikken en - afhankelijk van jouw bibliotheek - kun je dan woordenboeken openen.

Zie ook de reverse interlineair onder de ESV.

Je kunt ook vragen stellen in het Nederlandse forum, dat is misschien makkelijker voor je.

Hallo Hans,

dank voor je reactie. Dit is precies wat ik zoek. Heb Logos maar ben er nog niet zo goed in, ik lees vooral veel. Al lang probeer ik teksten te analyseren vanuit de grondtekst. Dat vind ik ongelofelijk interessant. Als ik b.v. de Naardense vertaling naast de NBV open (om een voorbeeld te noemen) zie ik verschillen die er echt toe doen, soms door het gebruik van een enkel woord.

ik ga proberen wat je me voorstelde, de ESV heb ik in Logos, een Griekse grondtekst nog niet, die ga ik dus aanschaffen. Nogmaals dank voor je hulp.

overigens kan ik het Nederlandse from niet vinden op Logos.com, maar ik zoek verder.

Als je met je rechtermuis op een woord in de ESV klikt, kun je dan een Bible Word Study doen? En heb je met de Exegetical Guides ook Word by Word? (ik gebruik Logos in het Engels, niet met de Nederlandse vertaling daarvan).

Als je dit hebt, kun je al prima woordstudies doen. Ik zou zeggen, zoek bovenstaande forums op en stel je vragen aan mensen die deskundiger zijn dan ik!

Greek has a verbal system with more expressiveness than English. Thankful for visual filter highlighting so can "see" range of Greek verbal expression in resources with Logos Greek Morphological tagging:

Screen shot has nominative case and verbal aspects without chapter and verse numbers. Who and what are highlighted.

Weet je al dat er bij de gratis boeken op de Logos-site ook een uitgave van het Nieuwe Testament in het Grieks zit? Bij deze zogeheten SBL-editie zit ook een beknopt kritisch apparaat waarin aangegeven wordt waar de tekst afwijkt van andere uitgaven van het Griekse NT zoals bijvoorbeeld Nestle-Aland 28.
