Logos 6 for the past week or so has repeatedly begun a download of 112.5 MB. When the download reaches 100% my Windows 7 Professional computer makes a strange warning sound, an off-pitch "clunk," and displays an error message which reads:
Logos Bible Software Setup: The Installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed.
But in the past for the original download, whatever it was (one of the free Vyrso titles, I suspect), though the warning appeared, the download DID succeed (I have the book and can access it just fine, though just now with this screen open I don't know how to get to my Logos Account record of "Orders" to find the title).
But now, that download begins each time I open Logos 6! And the quoted error message is repeated.
It is very, very highly improbable that the problem is at my end on my computer--it has been working just fine. There must be a new "bug" in the Logos software, for it has not happened before. My last major Logos change was on June 19, if I recall correctly, when I received the SDA Platinum download successfully with no problem.
I am not very sophisticated when it comes to computers and computer programming. I cannot do anything out of the ordinary at my end unless someone walks me through step by step without accidently omitting any necessary step! I am still old-school, and have not yet caught up to today's stuff, I'm sure.
The "bug" does not adversely affect my use of Logos 6, but the annoying "clunk" and installation error is something I'm sure is not normal.
