The Center for Liturgy at Saint Louis University maintains a website that is one of the primary resources for the Catholic Lectionary. It would be nice to have those parts of the site that come from standard publishers be included in Verbum:

  • Gerald Darring – To Love and Serve: Lectionary-Based Meditations (3 volumes)
  • Joyce Ann Zimmerman -  Living Liturgy: Spirituality, Celebration, and Catechesis (annual)
  • John Kavanaugh S. J. – The Word Embodied: Meditations on the Sunday Scriptures
  • John J. Pilch – The Cultural World of Jesus: Sunday by Sunday (3 volumes); The Cultural World of the Apostles: The Second Reading, Sunday by Sunday (3 volumes); The Cultural World of the Prophets: The First Reading and Responsorial Psalm Sunday by Sunday (3 columes)
  • Edith Barnecut, O.S.B. – Journey with the Fathers: Commentaries on the Sunday Gospels (3 volumes)
  • Reginald H. Fuller -  Preaching the Lectionary: The Word of God for the Church Today

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
