Probably a good idea to link this product from the other site and vice versa in the pink boxes.

I marked it up yellow in my screenshot above, but it looks pink here on IE11: "This product contains the NIV text and Study Bible Notes". A useful addition to that would be: "If you already own the NIV, see: ...... (link to notes-only version)"
Same vice versa: the pink box says: "This product is intended to be used with the NIV." Useful addition would be: "Want to buy both? ..... (link to bible+notes-version)"

Glad to see this and to see that D.A. Carson was the editor. I am not a fan of the NIV but I am sure it will be helpful to have the notes.
This one will have to go a long way to be better than the ESV Study Bible. I look forward to seeing how it compares and what it will have that the ESV Study Bible lacks.

I hope the notes won't be inclined towards defending the NIV's latest rendition. That hobby horse has already been ridden way too much.

That is the reason why I placed my order.

It will be interesting to compare these. I'm hopeful that it will be as good.

But will it be 70% when Carson wins again next year? [;)] Looks like a very good new resource.

Does it include pictures and media?
edit:nvm, it was answered.

Just placed my order. Even though I already have the NIV text, I have ordered the complete Study Bible with the text. Am interested to see which NIV text they are using with this. It is very good that D. A. Carson is the editor.

Don't! Unless you don't already have the NIV11 (aka "NIV," what has been the only NIV sold for several years) you would simply be acquiring a second NIV license. Otherwise the resources will be identical.

The NIV Zondervan Study Bible Notes is designed for use with the 2011 New International Version text.
Well guys, it is the new 2011 text they are using with this - so I might cancel my pre-pub order now. To me, the notes will only be useful with the 2011 text-that is what they are designed for.
How do i cancel a pre-pub order?
0 -
Thanks alabama24 I checked and do have the NIV 2011, so all I do need is the notes.
How do i cancel this pre pub order ?
I want to pre pub just the NIV Study Bible notes.

Your order should show up on your logos.com orders page on the Open Pre-pubs tab. You can delete the order there.

This looks like its going to be a great study bible. The same images look awesome. I pre-ordered the Logos Notes only since I already have the NIV 2011 on my account and pre-ordered the actual physical book from Amazon. I like to read the actual books every now and then when I am home

The current PrePub is a completely new NIV Study Bible that - as far as I have read about it so far - only shares the name and the publisher with the previous version.
If you are interested in having the highly regarded pre-2015 NIV Study Bible in Logos, your only option is to buy the slightly Lutheranized https://www.logos.com/product/21069/concordia-self-study-bible (best buy is in a bundle with the self-study commentary, differences of this resource to the NIV SB are discussed in a Faithlife group).

I do happen - but the 'discussion' is so far relatively unidirectional: https://faithlife.com/concordia-self-study-bible-users/activity It would be more precise to characterize it as a documentation of the NIV SB / CSSB differences in Community Notes.

While the Study Notes may be designed to for the NIV11 text it doesn't necessarily mean that the notes will support or advocate for the NIV11 rendering of the text. Simply reviewing the editors and contributors to the Study Notes should provide you with such confidence.
Also, here is a link if you would like a sample text to review before making your decision http://www.thenivbible.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/NIV-Zondervan-Study-Sampler.pdf

Will it work with the anglicised NIV 2011 or will an anglicised version of the study notes be forthcoming?

It will work with any translation you desire, but the notes will be based upon the NIV11 text.

As John indicated, it will work with any translation. The notes are a separate resource, as is the case with most "study bible" resources within Logos. In the screen shot below, I have the ESV study bible open with the NIV11.

Mark Smith, I am surprised to see DA Carson edited. What a shame they played so much with inclusive language...dealbreaker for me.

That is fair enough one must remember the KJV was far more inclusive than the RSV or the NIV was. I personally prefer the NRSV for public worship and while a more literal version like the NASB or ESV are good and important for study, in the end language has changed a lot... I am not 100% sure of your age but I would bet over your life you have heard many changes. You would almost certainly not use the word bothers to describe a mixed group in front of you even though I have heard sermons preached from the 60s and 70s and even 80s that used that. I am not saying the NIV2011 or the NRSV have the best translation always, indeed I do not think there is any perfect translation. I even had one pastor in the late 80s / early 90s who only used 1978 NIV, he saw no value in the 1984 revision (I do own a 1978 in print that i got as a prize in sunday school). If you have access to the original EBC you can see in John how already in the 1984 it was moving to more inclusive language. Many volumes of the Pillar are based on the TNIV which was chosen because of it's inclusive language. I know many people who do not care for inclusive language who love the Pillar commentaries. The new Zondervan Study Bible is based on the NIV2011 but as Alabama pointed out you may use it with any language and I would think as in the original NIV Study Bible sometimes alternative translations are offered in the study notes, this may well have authors who disagree with a translation and states something like "People: translation of the the greek term for men and in the context of this speech it is almost certainly an all male audience and should have been left as men" I have seen a note similar to this in other study Bibles and would be shocked to see differences in translation judgements which might include the inclusive language as the hypothetical above example shows. As one who uses the the New interpreter's Bible a lot with the NRSV NIV84 used as the base translations I have seen numerous examples where one or the other had used a poor choice of words and the other was more literal.

Would someone from Faithlife be able to answer this question: will the ZSB with NIV include a version of the NIV with the same footnotes & cross references that are used in the ZSB's version of the NIV?
I ask because the cross references are different than the ones in a standard NIV Bible.
