Unexpected Text Comparison Behavior

I can't make the TC tool take the two versions I want to compare. I want the NIV84 text as my base text, and the NIV2011 as the only other text to which to compare.

I first started by making a collection of the NIV84 and NIV. But in the collection, it would only order them as NIV first, and NIV84 second. Thus, when I used the collection in the tool, it made the NIV (2011) as the base text.

I deleted the collection and tried typing the two versions in the window. It lets me type them in the order I want, but it refuses to open the second text. At some point, seemingly arbitrarily, the NIV84 just disappears from the box. In the screenshot below, you can see both texts in the box, but only one showing. I had to shoot the shot quickly before the NIV84 vanished.

This is probably user error, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

TC can be real difficult with entering bibles.

Try to enter NIV84, NIV . Do you get a bible drop-down (pick list) as you type "NIV"? Do you see an outlined right arrow at the end of the box?

I try a combination of Enter and clicking the right arrow to get a recognised shortname to display.
