Collections: Should they default to "Show in Parallel Resources"?

I was one of the people who wanted to be able to take collections out the parallel resource list. But I'm not sure it's a good idea to default new collections to 'off'. Power users will no doubt have lots of collections they don't want showing, but newer users (who are more likely to not understand or miss the tickbox) probably will want most of their collections as parallel resources.

One solution might be to default to on, but add a right-click menu to the parallel resource set which says ('Never show  this collection here').

I'm not sure about that.  For one, I don't want to have to turn it off every time a create a new collection since most of my collections I don't want to show in PR.

But the newer users still get parallel resources from the All Parallel Resources menu, and if they want another parallel association it's not hard to learn about how to do it.

Many users do not understand how to build proper Parallel Resource sets or do not even know what it means! But they will learn from the All Parallel Resources set  and then realise just how few of their collections make 'good' Parallel Resource sets!
