ANNOYANCE: Search Hits Covered by Selection Box

This isn't really a bug, but simply an annoyance. Maybe best classified as an, "I wish it didn't do this."

When I'm doing searches using search fields to narrow my results, the search fields selection box covers the line showing the number of hits. This means I have to click outside the box to see the live update, then re-open it to change the selection.

Is there a better place to put the live update so it can be seen while the selection is being changed?

Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river.
